Access Building Solutions, LLC was envisioned to address the growing need in Southern Nevada for products and services focusing exclusively on those needing a solution to accessibility issues in homes and businesses.  Partnering with AKW Aging-in-Place as their exclusive distributor within the state of Nevada, Access Building Solutions LLC strives to provide the best possible resolution for each individual’s situation and needs. 

Our goal is to restore independence, mobility, privacy and comfort, and make the living environment one in which it becomes easier to carry out daily activities, regardless of physical condition. Safety is always our upmost concern.

Access Building Solutions, LLC is owned and operated by Cindy Cotton.  Cindy began her interest in building by designing and building her personal residence in Florida.  She subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction Management at the University of West Florida. 

Cindy moved to the Las Vegas valley in 1999, and later began building single family homes in the #1 Ranked Master Planned Community in the country – Mountain’s Edge (see the 2 photos on the right).  She won numerous awards with the national builder she was working for as Construction Manager.  She became interested in accessible building and remodeling products after having volunteered in a local hospital for several years in the Outpatient Surgical Department. 

Cindy secured a Residential and Small Commercial Contractor’s license and is one of only several people in the Southern Nevada area that has obtained the Certified Aging-In-Place designation from the National Association of Home Builders.  This certification was developed by the NAHB Remodelers Council in collaboration with the AARP, NAHB Research Center, and NAHB Seniors Housing Council to provide practical, market-specific information about working with older and maturing adults to remodel their homes for aging-in-place.
